Kevin Noble is intent on marking his Coventry Blaze return with victory over Manchester Storm at the Skydome on Sunday.

The Canadian defenseman will be back in the line-up after serving a five-game suspension as Blaze bid for their first win over Storm this season.

Noble said: “It is good to be back. It is always frustrating when you have to sit and watch when you want to be in the trenches with your team-mates.

“Manchester are a good team and it will take a big effort to get the two points. It is going to be a tough game so we need a big start.

“We have had a good week – the guys are feeling great and are chomping at the bit. Getting the two points is all that matters.

“It is a tough league and it is pretty even across the board. The team which is the most consistent will have the most success and we are looking to string a few wins together.

“We have faith in our ability, we just need to have a few breaks here and there. If we can find that consistency then things will pan out well for us.”

Noble was Blaze’s final signing of the summer, having spent last season playing for Tulsa Oilers in the ECHL.

He added: “I am really enjoying my time in the UK. For me it is important to get better every day.

“There are a lot of quality players in the league who have played at a high level in North America and the top European leagues. It has been a great experience so far.”
