Nottingham Panthers have signed forward Jeff Brown for the upcoming Elite League campaign.

The 25-year-old Canadian comes to the Panthers ‘highly recommended’ by his former coaches and teammates.

After leaving the University of Toronto, Brown joined Brampton Beast in the ECHL where he scored 18 goals with 20 assists in 74 games.

Head Coach Corey Neilson said: “We’re thrilled to have him. He can play, he can fight – he’s a big strong powerful player.

“He’s a guy who’s come highly recommended from multiple sources.

“I was contacted by David Ling who let me know there were a lot of teams chasing Jeff for next year.”

Brown added: “I’m pleased to get this done. I’ve heard good things about the Panthers and can’t wait to get on the ice and show the fans what I can do to help the team.”
