French-Canadian blueliner Philippe Paquet has agreed a second season with Fife Flyers.

The 29-year-old moved to the Elite League in 2015, following a season with Rungsted in Denmark.

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume said: “I’m glad to have Phil back on the roster for a second season.

“He’s a great guy on and off the ice and is respected by his peers.

“He moves the puck well and uses his size to his advantage. He gives his all and I know he is keen to continue where we left off last season.

“He’s hungry for silverware and we need that hunger to push us on.”

Paquet added: “I’m happy to be back in Fife for a second season.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Dutes again and to build on last year’s progress.

“I feel like the club has taken a big step forward and we’re now ready to move up the table and bring home some silverware.

“I’m excited to play in front of the home crowd and looking forward to seeing more people in the building.”
