Braehead Clan forward Scott Pitt revealed one of the main reasons why he’s decided to return for a third season – the club’s fans.

Pitt says it was an easy decision to come back, especially knowing that Head Coach Ryan Finnerty was keen for him to stay.

He said: “One of the biggest reasons I’ve come back in the fans. I’ve been in a lot of places, but Braehead’s definitely the best and the Purple Army make it incredible night in, night out.

“It’s certainly enjoyable to play for them and overall, it feels great to be back. I was very excited when the team and organisation wanted me to come back.

“I’ve had nothing but good times in the last two years so I’m looking forward to returning. The city of Glasgow is great and the organisation from top to bottom have been good to me and my girlfriend, Lauren.

“I told Ryan I wanted to come back so I was pleased we got it sorted out.

“The coach has had a lot of kind words to say about me and it makes me feel wanted when I’m coming back for another campaign.

“I like to be the sort of player that contributes as much as possible. I like to put up points and be defensively responsible, so I tend to aim for a point a game then it feels like I’m helping the team.”
