Potulny confirmed out for 8 to 10 weeks

Clan, British Ice Hockey
Glasgow’s Braehead Clan have received the blow that American forward Ryan Potulny will be out of action for the next 8 to 10 weeks.
During Saturday’s home game against the Coventry Blaze, Potulny picked up an upper body injury that saw him miss Sunday’s home game against the Nottingham Panthers.
Having seen a specialist today regarding the injury, it has been confirmed that the former NHLer won’t require surgery but will be out well into the new year.
Clan head coach John Tripp commented: “Losing Ryan is a blow for the club as he’s one of the main leaders on and off the ice.
“We knew straight away that it was bad news, but it was good that we had Cale Tanaka available who could step straight into the line-up.
“The aim now for Ryan is for the injury to heal and have him back fully fit when we start our playoff push.”
Tickets for the visit of the Sheffield Steelers this Friday (7:30pm face-off) are available now via braeheadclan.com, by calling 0844 499 1700 or direct at the Braehead Arena box office.
