The Elite Ice Hockey League is delighted to confirm that Premier Sports have furthered their partnership with the league and will become headline sponsors for this season’s Playoff Finals Weekend and Challenge Cup Final.
Both the 2020 Premier Sports Challenge Cup Final, to be held on 8 March 2020 at the Viola Arena in Cardiff, and the 2020 Premier Sports Playoff Finals to be held in April 2020 in Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, will be shown live and exclusively on Premier Sports. Sister channel FreeSports began showing live Elite League games in 2018 and has continued to do so this season.
“We have always believed in the tremendous potential of live Elite League games, and to welcome Premier Sports on board as the headline sponsor of both the Playoffs and Challenge Cup Final is a testament to the quality of league’s showpiece events,” said Tony Smith, Elite League Chairman. “We are extremely pleased to be able to further our partnership with Premier Sports this season.”
Richard Webb, COO of FreeSports added: “We are delighted to continue our support of British Ice Hockey by backing the league with sponsorship of both the Challenge Cup Final and the Playoffs for this season.”
Ticket details for the Premier Sports Playoff Finals Weekend will be announced tomorrow, Wednesday 15 January. The next live game on FreeSports is also tomorrow: Glasgow host Sheffield in the Challenge Cup Semi-Final (First Leg) from 1900.
