Dundee Stars have added American forward Joey Sides to their roster for the upcoming Elite League season.

Sides has played over 250 games during his senior career, gaining experience in both North America and Europe.

Stars’ boss Marc LeFebvre said: “We’re delighted to bring Joey on board. I believe he is an excellent fit for the direction we as a club are going.

“He brings familiarity having skated with Justin (Faryna) and Scott (Brannon) in Rapid City and we expect him to seamlessly slip into the line-up.

“He is a good locker room guy and he scores goals. He plays both ends of the ice and is excellent in transition.

“Joey is our 7th import forward and with the addition of Ben (Edmonds) last week we are happy with our progress up top.

“We continue to work hard on putting the clubhouse together. We have key roster spots to fill and more announcements will be made when we are confident that we have the right guys to help make the team better.”
