Felix-Antoine Poulin has been added to the Dundee Stars’ defensive unit.

The Canadian blueliner joins the Stars after spending last season with Alaska Aces in the ECHL.

Stars’ boss Marc LeFebvre said: “We’re delighted to bring Felix on board – we believe he will be a great fit for what we are looking to do this season.

“I’d like to thank former Stars’ goalie Nic Riopel who recommended Felix to the club. Felix originally signed with Brest in France for this season, but when they got into a little difficulty Nic quickly contacted the Stars.

“Nic remains very close to the club and we are grateful for the work he did in bringing Felix to Dundee.

“Felix will bring some size and speed to the ice. He will upgrade our defensive core and in particular improve our offensive output from the back end.

“He is excellent in the locker room and will be a great addition to the clubhouse.

“Nic’s input combined with the scouting information I picked up on Felix from some of my fellow coaches at the NHL draft in Buffalo over the last couple of days helped get the deal done.”
