Shayne Stockton has agreed a second year with Fife Flyers.

The 27-year-old joined the Flyers at the start of the 2015/16 season, going on to score 24 goals with 27 assists in 58 games.

He said: “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Fife Flyers organisation for another season.

“I really enjoyed my time in Kirkcaldy last year and I’m eager to start where we left off last season, and aim for some silverware.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Kirkcaldy and putting the Flyers jersey on once again. Roll on September.”

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume added: “Having Stocks back in a Flyers jersey was a priority for me.

“On ice he has a tremendous skill set that was extremely valuable to us in all situations.

“Down the stretch he featured heavily in all of our special teams and could be counted on to be involved in any big play when it was required of him.

“Off the ice he is just a great guy to have in the room – very positive, easy going and well liked by all his teammates.

“With a full season in the Elite League under his belt, Shayne will come in even stronger for us this season and remain an integral part of the Flyers line-up.”
