Manchester Storm Player/Coach Omar Pacha has urged his players to relax and enjoy their crucial game against Nottingham Panthers on Sunday.

Storm go into the game knowing a victory would guarantee their place in the Elite League play-offs and Pacha wants his team to repeat Wednesday’s performance when they won 3-1 at Nottingham.

“One thing the players should do is have fun with it – I think for a few games now, we’ve been gripping the sticks and have been nervous.

“But it’s important to remember, we all play the game to have fun. That was the key on Wednesday and that’s what we have to do again on Sunday.

“We have the confidence, but we have to play with that swagger and hope we can get the win and reach the play-offs on the last day.

“I just think we’re a group that when we play a bit more laid back and confident and with high energy, we seem to be more successful.

“Playing well defensively is the key on Sunday and I’ve said it all year. If you play well defensively not only do you not concede as many goals, you create offense, turnovers and odd man rushes.

“Confidence is huge and from a standings point of view it’s enormous. Now we have to focus on Sunday and putting in a big home performance.”
