Four goals from Evan Bloodoff was the highlight of the night as Fife Flyers romped to a comfortable 7-1 victory over Braehead Clan.

Both sides carved out some decent chances early on with Ryan Nie and Andy Iles at either end having to work to keep their teams’ nets unmolested.

Charlie Mosey was the man with the opening goal when he got the better of Zach Sullivan to move inside and send his low shot past Nie.

Flyers were two up shortly after as Chase Schaber teed up Evan Bloodoff, who poke it into the net from close range on the powerplay.

An error in the Clan defence led to a third for Todd Dutiaume’s men, with Bloodoff benefitting for his second of the night.

That became a hat-trick as well-worked intricate move ended with another close-range finish and Fife were cruising.

Flyers went five up without reply to compound the misery as Bloodoff’s puck sent in from wide right took a deflection and ended up behind Nie.

Schaber and Ricards Birzins, both shorthanded, made it an even better night for the away fans that had made the trip.

And although Shattock added a late one for Clan, Fife’s victory had long been completed.
