Tripp wants Clan to be mentally strong

John TRIPP 011, British Ice Hockey

Glasgow’s Braehead Clan head coach John Tripp has called on his team to build on their back to back wins against the Dundee Stars.

The Fife Flyers and the Coventry Blaze are the visitors to Braehead this Friday (7:30pm face-off) and Saturday (7:00pm) respectively.

The Clan are currently in 8th place, only five points behind 7th placed Nottingham Panthers, and five points ahead of 9th placed Dundee Stars.

With only 10 games left in the Clan’s regular season, Tripp wants his team to continue their recent good form and build on last weekend’s success.

“It was very important to get the two wins and four points last weekend against Dundee” confirmed Tripp.

“We’ve got an opportunity with two home games coming up to really push on and further cement our place in eighth.

“With the injuries to Gutwald, Peacock, Scofield and Shattock we’re really up against it and it’s going to be tough.

“This is a time we have to be mentally strong, stick together as a team and work hard for each other.”
