Fife Flyers have confirmed the signing of Czech ‘D’ man David Turon.

The 32-year-old is no stranger to the Elite League, having played for Dundee Stars last season, before moving on to play in Poland.

Turon was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2002 and has extensive North American and European experience.

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume said: “I saw David play a number of times last year and liked what I saw.

“He will give us some more size back there, he is a steady and consistent performer and came highly recommended by his peers.

“He has a wealth of experience and will be an asset both in the room and on the ice.

“David will fit in very well on this team, he’s a good team guy who is willing to do what it takes to win.

“Crucially it also gives me another right handed ‘D’ man to work with Phil Paquet.”
