Deeside’s James Parsons celebrates opener at Widnes

Solway Sharks still lead NIHL North (Moralee Conference) after an 11-2 win at home to Manchester Minotaurs – Juraj Senko, Pavol Melichercik, Iain Bowie & Frazer Goldie all scored twice.

Michael Bowman & Paul Windridge both hit hat-tricks in Billingham Stars’ 9-1 win against Telford Titans. Jake Nurse bagged a brace in Blackburn Hawks’ 3-1 victory at home to Sutton Sting, while Whitley Warriors won 5-2 against Sheffield Spartans.

Laidler Conference leaders Solihull Barons won 9-2 at home to Sheffield Senators – Connor Hubbuck (2) & Richard Slater (2) led the scoring. James Parsons scored a couple in Deeside Dragons’ 6-1 victory at Widnes Wild.

Chelmsford Chieftains moved a point behind NIHL1 South leaders Wightlink Raiders with a four-point weekend. Daniel Volrab scored twice in their 4-3 win at Wightlink and they followed up with a 2-0 success at Solent & Gosport Devils.

Marek Nahlik scored four as Invicta Dynamos won 7-2 at Streatham Redskins, while Callum Fowler inspired a comeback from 4-0 down with a hat-trick in their 6-4 victory over Wightlink. London Raiders picked up two victories, winning 9-5 at home to MK Thunder and 5-3 at Bracknell Hornets. Cardiff Devils beat Bracknell 9-2, while Streatham won 6-4 at MK Thunder.

Oxford City Stars missed the chance to go top of NIHL2 South with a 5-2 defeat at Cardiff Devils. Bristol Pitbulls lost 5-3 at Swindon Wildcats, but bounced back on home ice with a 4-2 victory against Haringey Racers. Chelmsford Warriors won 8-3 at home to Peterborough Islanders.

Manchester Phoenix moved to the top of the EPL with a 7-2 home win against Slough Jets – Michal Psurny scored five. Tomas Karpov hit a hat-trick In Basingstoke Bison’s 5-4 win at home to Peterborough Phantoms. Guildford Flames crashed 5-2 at Swindon Wildcats. Lubomir Korhon scored four in Sheffield Steeldogs’ 8-2 win at Slough.

Telford Tigers lost 2-1 at home to Swindon, but bounced back to win 4-1 at Bracknell Bees and 5-2 against MK Lightning. Marc Levers’ late empty netter crowned a 7-5 win for Peterborough at home to Bracknell. Blaz Emersic scored twice in MK Lightning’s 3-1 against Swindon.

Elite League leaders Belfast Giants moved 17 points clear with a pair of road wins. Giants secured a 3-1 success at Sheffield Steelers and followed up with a 7-2 victory at Edinburgh Capitals. Nottingham Panthers had a miserable week, losing 8-4 at Cardiff Devils and 3-2 after overtime at home to Coventry Blaze.

Braehead Clan lost 3-1 at Hull Stingrays, but picked up four points on home ice with a 4-2 success against Fife and a 3-0 victory over Hull. Dundee Stars lost 4-2 at Hull, Fife beat Edinburgh 5-2 and Coventry won 3-1 at home to Cardiff.

In the Challenge Cup Quarter-finals Cardiff beat Fife 10-5 on aggregate, while Sheffield overcame Dundee by the same scoreline over two legs.
