Coventry Blaze Head Coach Chuck Weber believes his side will need to play smart as they travel to Edinburgh to face the Capitals tonight, before meeting Cardiff Devils at the Skydome Arena on Sunday.

Blaze are looking for their first win in Edinburgh since 2012, while Cardiff have held the upper hand in their meetings so far this season and Weber is expecting two tough games.

He said: “Edinburgh play very well at home – it’s a very tough building and they take advantage of their home environment.

“They have some dangerous players who don’t need many opportunities to score and they thrive on their transition and play high-risk hockey.”

“Cardiff is Cardiff. They are a talented team and their powerplay and penalty kill are one of the best in the league.

“It is going to be a huge challenge for us – we have a long trip back from Edinburgh so we are going to have to play a smart game to give ourselves a chance to get some points.”
