Guildford Flames have completed their netminding pairing with the signing of Mike Will.

The 28-year-old moves to the EPL having spent the last six seasons in the Elite League with Braehead Clan and Cardiff Devils.

Flames have already confirmed the return of Richard Ullberg to their roster and Head Coach Paul Dixon hopes Will can challenge the Finnish stopper.

He said: “Mike is a really good fit for the club. We wanted a guy who had a good level of senior experience behind him, but still at a point where competitive and motivational interests are high.

“He has pretty broad experience with overseas stints and the highest domestic levels on his playing CV.

“In that regard he is a veteran player who should be really comfortable here from the off, and we are confident he will make a quality contribution when his number is called.”

Will added: “I’m very excited to be joining the Flames organisation. The Spectrum is the first rink I skated on as a kid and I have great memories of it. I can’t wait for the season to start.”
