NIHL North round-up: Sharks keep up the pressure

Solway Sharks extended their lead at the top of NIHL North Moralee D1 to eight points after picking up a pair of victories.

Struan Tonnar, Marc Fowley and Steven Moore got the goals in Sharks’ 3-1 home win against Deeside Dragons, while Nathan Britton’s hat-trick was the highlight of their 5-1 success at Sutton Sting.

Ryan Johnson (2) and Charlie Thompson (2) were amongst the scorers for Sutton in their 8-6 victory at Telford Tigers NIHL.

Dennis Bostrom (3) and Daniel Palmebjork (2) led the way for Billingham Stars as they eased to a 9-3 win at Deeside.

Blackburn Hawks ended an eight game losing streak with a 5-3 success at Solihull Barons – Aaron Davies bagged a hat-trick for the visitors.

Tomas Mitrik (3) topped the scoring for Laidler D2 leaders Blackburn Eagles in their 10-2 victory at Hull Jets.

Widnes Wild secured their third win in a row courtesy of an 8-4 home success against Nottingham Lions. Altrincham Aces won 5-1 at Coventry Blaze NIHL.
