Storm add Balmer to their defensive unit

Manchester Storm have added defender Declan Balmer to their roster for the 2017/18 Elite League season.

The 22-year-old has played over 200 games over the last five seasons with Peterborough Phantoms and Basingstoke Bison.

Storm boss Ryan Finnerty said: “I’m really pleased to have secured Declan’s signature ahead of next season.

“He’s a solid player on the ice and a great teammate. The references I got on him were all very positive.

“I fully expect him to do really well in his first season in the Elite League.”
