Beca follows Finnerty to Altrincham

Forward Matt Beca has signed for Manchester Storm.

The 31-year-old joins the Altrincham-based club after an impressive season with Braehead Clan, where he scored 27 goals with 48 assists in 54 games.

Storm boss Ryan Finnerty said: “I’ve been chasing ‘Becs’ since the day I got the job here in Manchester.

“He’s a great player who consistently puts up big numbers. I will once again be relying on him to lead from the front this season.

“We competed hard for his signature against offers from all over Europe, and his signing is a statement of where the new ownership want to take this young organisation.”
