Smital bolsters Bees’ blueline with new import

Bracknell Bees have signed Slovakian defender David Gaborcik.

The 23-year-old has made over 150 appearances during the last four seasons in the Slovak Extraliga with HK SKP Poprad.

Bees’ Player/Coach Lukas Smital said: “In keeping with looking to sign young non-British trained players who are hungry to succeed and improve their game we have recruited David from the Slovakian leagues.

“He’s a solid stay at home defenseman who is a true team player and I’m looking forward to his contribution in his first British hockey season.”
