Coventry Blaze are already in the market for a new player after announcing the departure of forward Kelin Ainsworth.
The 26-year-old joined the club at the start of the season and will leave immediately to take up an opportunity that’s opened up for him in Denmark, in the Metal Ligaen.
He picked up eight goals and 12 assists in his 28 games for Danny Stewart’s side and moves on after a weekend where Blaze lost in all three games.
Ainsworth was the top points scorer in the Hungarian Erste Liga last season and will fly to Denmark today to join up with his new club.
Head Coach Danny Stewart said, “It’s unfortunate to lose ‘Ainsy’ at this time. We are already on the search for a replacement and hope to have somebody in place as soon as possible.”
