Streatham IHC have appointed Jeremy Cornish as the club’s new Head Coach.

Cornish was most recently in charge at Wightlink Raiders, having previously played in the Elite League with Sheffield Steelers, Newcastle Vipers, London Racers and Basingstoke Bison.

With Wightlink unable to continue in NIHL1 South due to the closure of their rink, Streatham have moved quickly to appoint the Canadian.

“Streatham is a club with a lot of history and one I have read a lot about,” said Cornish.

“It’s a new challenge for me and I am very excited to get started. I’ll be adding some new faces to the roster and freshening things up. This team has a great new rink, are located in London and have a lot of potential.

“This club should be competing for trophies and that’s what we are here to aim for.”

Cornish replaces Nicky Chinn in the hotseat at Streatham, while Chris Wiggins, Conor Redmond and Conor Sheehan have also left the club.

Ex-Wightlink netminder Matt Colclough has been confirmed as the first new signing of Cornish’s reign, with the 26-year-old linking up once again the former Raiders boss.
