Fife Flyers have confirmed that forward Bari McKenzie will return to the club ahead of the 2019/20 season.
McKenzie, 32, joined Fife from Glasgow Clan in 2018, and scored 11 points in his 60 appearances for the club last season.
A fan-favourite, McKenzie won both the British player of the year award and the Unsung Hero award for the Flyers last season.
Head Coach Todd Dutiaume said: “Both Hutch (Jeff Hutchins) and I were keen to sign Bari up for a second season. He was popular both in the room and with the fans last season, and was a committed member of the team. He has a lot of experience in the league and will continue to be a valuable asset for us.”
Was a no brainer for me coming back for my 2nd second. Loved every minute of my 1st season in fife. Excited to get back on the ice with the boys August and get the auld barn rocking. https://t.co/ImUtNYoSEw

After extending his stay with the club, McKenzie said: “From the first minute I walked in to the locker room I felt at home, and I knew it was going to be special playing in Fife. I certainly wasn’t disappointed. I’m so happy to be returning for a second season.”
“I’m looking forward to continuing to help push forward with our aim of winning trophies.”
