British forward Sean Beattie has signed for Fife Flyers.

The 22-year-old joins the Flyers after spending the previous five seasons with Edinburgh Capitals.

Beattie said: “I’m looking forward to pulling on a Fife jersey for the upcoming season.

“I watched Fife play as a kid and to play for the team will be a great experience in my hockey career. I’m really happy to be a part of the Fife franchise.

“I’m looking to get some trophies under the belt and to improve my game every week under new coaches and new players.”

Assistant Coach Jeff Hutchins added: “Sean is a big body that skates well. We will be looking to refine his game this season.

“He will need to play in straight lines and work on becoming a good pro on and off the ice. He has the ability to become a reliable Brit in the Elite League.

“Sean is still young and we are happy that he chosen to come back to Fife and play. We are looking forward to working with him over the course of the season.”
