Basingstoke Bison have confirmed the signing of defender Dan Scott.

The 24-year-old has spent the past few seasons with Telford Tigers, having previously iced for Slough Jets in the EPL. He has also played for Hull Stingrays and Coventry Blaze in the Elite League.

Bison boss Doug Sheppard said: “Dan very much fits in with the ethos of players that I try to sign – young, hungry guys, who display great leadership qualities.

“We all know what Dan will bring to the club both on and off the ice, and I cannot wait to see how he settles in to life with the Bison.

“The moves we are making show a determination to keep progressing this season and beyond as we continue to add to an exciting, young British core at the club.

“It has proved our path to success in the past and will do so again. There’s plenty of reasons to be excited about the future of this team and I hope our fanbase’s continued support will be rewarded come the end of this campaign.”

Tigers’ Head Coach Tom Watkins added: “Dan has been superb for Telford, both on and off the ice, over the last few years.

“He leaves with our best wishes and thanks for his contributions to the club.”
