Basingstoke Bison have confirmed two more players to their roster for the 2016/17 EPL season.

Czech forward Petr Polodna (above) moves to Britain having played the whole of his career in Eastern Europe, while Alan Lack has agreed a second season with the club.

Last season Polodna played for SK Horacka Slavia Trebic, scoring 13 times with 11 assists in 47 games.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard said: “He is a guy I feel will fit in very well with the team we have and it makes sense to go down the import route to replace Joe (Rand).”

Lack scored 16 goals with 19 assists in 45 games last term and built up an excellent understanding with fellow returnees Ciaran Long and Tomas Karpov.

“I’ve set myself a goal to do even better this season and how can you not enjoying playing with Tomas and Ciaran – I learnt a lot from them,” said Lack.

“I won’t be changing my style of play – I will still be going in where it hurts to win the puck and to score goals.

“My aim every game is to win for the team and the fans and I think we have a great team already and will be hunting some more silverware this season.”
