Coventry Blaze Head Coach Chuck Weber is looking forward to having Canadian defenceman Kevin Noble back in his line-up this weekend.

Noble is available for Sunday’s Elite League clash with Manchester Storm at the Skydome following a five-game suspension.

Weber said: “Kevin brings us energy, he blocks shots and he finishes his hits. He plays with an edge, he is a warrior out there and you can never have enough of those guys.

“He is a top-four shut-down player and he is very hard to play against. Having him back is going to be a big help for us.”

Nottingham Panthers have confirmed that forward Robert Farmer is back on the ice for full training this week, as he prepares for his comeback on the road in this weekend’s back-to-back games at Edinburgh on Friday and Saturday.

Stephen Schultz continues to make progress but remains a few weeks away from skating, while David Ling has been receiving treatment for injuries sustained in Sheffield on Sunday. The extent of those injuries and any potential lay-off is not yet known.

Logan MacMillan is set to undergo a scan after picking up a problem at training last week which flared up on Saturday and ruled him out of the line-up.
