The Glasgow Clan made two roster moves on Friday [18 November], replacing Gergely Tóth with Andrew McLean.

McLean, a 27-year-old defenceman from the USA, arrives in the Elite League from the ECHL, where he hit 13 points (2 goals, 11 assists) in 54 appearances for the Orlando Solar Bears.

Tóth, a 24-year-old defenceman from Hungary, recorded three points (one goal, two assists) in 12 appearances for Glasgow.

“I am beyond excited to join the Clan,” McLean explained. “Everything I’ve heard about the fans and the league has been really positive and I’m so thrilled to be part of it. I know Mathieu Roy and Mitch Jones having played with them before so it’ll be good to be alongside those guys and I’m ready to play some hockey.”

Elsewhere in the Elite League, the Belfast Giants and Sheffield Steelers shared the spoils after an intense back-to-back. The Guildford Flames also secured an important win, beating the Nottingham Panthers in overtime.

In the National League, the Milton Keynes Lightning secured a four-point weekend versus the Basingstoke Bison and Hull Seahawks.
