Busy Christmas period begins

For the next couple of weeks, ice hockey fans will have plenty of games to keep them interested over the festive period.

From today, there will be games every night until 3rdJanuary 2019, with exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

It’s a busy time for everyone concerned and for some teams, it’s a defining couple of weeks as we start to see who will show themselves to be genuine Elite League contenders and those who aren’t.

The 11 teams will play between five and eight games each in a congested spell, which began when Guildford Flames hosted Sheffield Steelers in the Challenge Cup last night.

From there, the action switches to Milton Keynes where Lightning host Cardiff Devils then on Friday, Belfast Giants take on Manchester Storm in the first of a double header before a full programme of games on Saturday night.

It’s going to be a busy one as we give you the full at-a-glance list of the Elite League fixtures for the next two weeks:
