Canadian forward Ian Watters has signed for Guildford Flames.
The 25-year-old has spent the last four seasons with Reading Royals in the East Coast Hockey League.
Flames’ boss Paul Dixon said: “From what we have learned in our search of Ian, we are getting an all round player and character.
“He is used to being a leader and will compete hard every night. He can contribute a bit offensively, plays a responsible defensive game and is a hard-nosed player who can be put in a variety of situations including penalty killing.
“We are looking forward to Ian’s arrival and we’re excited about the contribution he can make to our line-up.”
