British defender Paul Swindlehurst has agreed a new deal with Manchester Storm.

The 24-year-old has become a key player in the last couple of seasons since switching to the club from Nottingham Panthers.

Storm boss Ryan Finnerty said: “‘Swinny’ is a player that I’ve enjoyed watching in my time in the Elite League and has gradually improved every time I’ve seen him.”

“He has great composure, does the little things really well and the sort of player you can rely on in the heat of the battle.

“Paul is certainly a player I’m looking forward to working with and I think he’s someone I can give a little extra responsibility to.

“His return also helps to give the continuity as we go in a different direction with this team and I’m delighted at how it’s all shaping up.”
