New Manchester Storm signing Devin DiDiomete is set to make his debut against Braehead Clan on Saturday.

Power forward DiDiomete, 27, signed at the end of October but hasn’t been able to feature for Storm due to an administrative delay.

Storm have now confirmed they have had clearance from the Slovakian Federation.

When the club announced his signing, Player/Coach Omar Pacha said: “We’re delighted to have Deeds on board here at the Storm, he brings a physical presence to our line-up, and brings emotion every night and won’t back down from anyone.

“We felt we needed this type of player to add to our roster, he will bring not just energy and toughness to our team, but also a lot of leadership. Deeds has also played in some of the top leagues across the world, so he brings in a wealth of experience to our roster.”

“Devin is also a huge personality and character, and we’re delighted to have him on board. I’ve done a lot of scouting on Devin with players and coaches who played with him previously, and they all had nothing but good things to say.

“I have no doubt Deeds will be a firm fan favourite here at the Storm Shelter.”

Canadian-born forward DiDiomete has previously played in the Elite League with Sheffield Steelers (2014/15) and Cardiff Devils (2012/13).
