Sheffield Steelers kept on the heels of league leaders Manchester Storm as they took both points in a good road win over Dundee Stars.
It took them only five minutes to opening the scoring as Andreas Jämtim opened the scoring with the only goal of the first period.
Paul Thompson’s side added two more in the middle session as Andreas Valdix and Matt Marquardt put the visitors three up without reply.
Stars pulled one back from Joey de Concilys and started to worry the Steelers just after the second interval when Brian Hart pulled Dundee to within one with his first goal for the club.
Sheffield found another gear as Robert Dowd scored with ten minutes to go of the game, with GB youngster Liam Kirk adding a fifth to complete the night’s work.
