Cardiff Devils enjoyed double success on home ice to keep their quest for four trophies firmly on track.

Joey Martin’s hat-trick helped Devils to a 5-2 Elite League win against Coventry Blaze, and they followed up with a 5-3 victory against Belfast Giants in the first leg of their Challenge Cup semi-final.

Jason Hewitt’s late empty netter capped a 4-2 win for Sheffield Steelers at home to the Giants, but they failed to follow up at Coventry, losing 5-4 after a shoot-out.

Goals by Andy Bohmbach (2), David Clarke (2) and Logan MacMillan helped Nottingham Panthers to a 5-3 win at home to Braehead Clan.

Panthers made it a four-point weekend with a 6-3 victory at Dundee Stars – David Ling (2) topped the scoring on his final start for the club.

Fife Flyers also secured four points, winning 8-1 at home to Edinburgh Capitals and 4-3 at Braehead.

Mathew Sisca hit a hat-trick for Manchester in their 5-2 home victory against Dundee, and Vinny Scarsella matched the feat in Storm’s remarkable 13-9 success at Edinburgh.
