Belfast Giants reduced the gap on Elite League leaders Cardiff Devils to six points with a 3-0 home win over Edinburgh Capitals on Thursday.

Goals from Colin Shields (2) and Steve Saviano gave the Giants the victory on the first game out of two in two days between these sides.

Sheffield Steelers stay third in the table after a 3-1 success at Coventry Blaze – Colton Fretter, Mathieu Roy and Levis Nelson got the goals.
