Belfast Giants fell to their first defeat in eleven games with a 2-1 loss at home to Manchester Storm on Wednesday.

The home side took the lead in the 29th minute through James Desmarais, but Taylor Dickin tied things up late in the second period.

Cody Cartier scored the go-ahead goal for the visitors 43 seconds into the final session and although Belfast finished the game strongly they couldn’t find an equaliser.

David Turon (2) topped the scoring for Fife Flyers in their 5-3 success at Dundee Stars.
