Glasgow’s Braehead Clan are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian defenceman Felix-Antoine Poulin for the remainder of the 2017/18 season.
The 27-year-old spent last season in the EIHL with the Clan’s Gardiner Conference rivals, the Dundee Stars.
Poulin was one of the EIHL’s leading defenceman finishing the season as the league’s top goal scoring defenceman and second in overall points.
This season Poulin has been playing for MsHK Zilna in the Slovakian Extraliga
Head Coach John Tripp is delighted to have secured the signature of one of last season’s standout players in the EIHL.
“When we became aware that Felix-Antoine was looking to make a move away from Slovakia, we didn’t have any hesitation in doing everything we could to bring him here” said Tripp.
“We’ve been looking to add some offensive punch for a while now, with the recent addition of Robert Lepine we’ve also decided to add some to the backend of the team.
“Our powerplay hasn’t been working the way I want it to, and that’s going to be imperative going into our playoffs push.
“With Felix-Antoine he will be a very important of our powerplay unit. He has a big shot and somewhat of a quarterback which is what I believe we’ve been needing to add.
“We’re delighted to welcome Felix-Antoine to Glasgow and the Braehead Clan.”
