Canadian forward John Dunbar has signed for Guildford Flames.
The 25-year-old started last season with French side Scorpions de Mulhouse, before returning to North America’s East Coast Hockey League with Norfolk Admirals.
Flames’ boss Paul Dixon said: “We don’t always see the players we get ahead of time, but John is someone we’ve seen play in a very quick, attacking college style where you do not sit back and wait.
“He is a speedy, highly skilled forward and has put up some impressive numbers over his career including last season in America.
“He is not a big guy by any stretch, but he works hard and plays with high intensity, which is not always the case with fine skilled players.”
