Flames snap up Swedish forward

Guildford Flames have signed Swedish forward Mikael Lidhammar.

The 29-year-old spent the last pair of Elite League seasons at Dundee Stars where he iced 119 times, scoring 30 goals with 51 assists, according to the latest Unibet sportsbets.

Flames’ boss Paul Dixon said: “We have tried to get players with speed at every position, and Mikael is no exception.

“He also brings a bit of a physical element in delivering a hard working, intense effort each and every night.

“Mikael brings a depth of experience from playing at a world class level in Sweden’s top flight, while also being very knowledgeable about the UK game thanks to a couple of seasons at Dundee.

“He should play a key role in helping us settle into our new league.”
