Great Britain U18 Head Coach Martin Grubb says it was ‘very disappointing’ to finish their World Championship (Division 2A) tournament in Romania in fourth place.

GB lost their final game 6-3 against the hosts who secured the silver medal. Poland won gold, while Lithuania claimed bronze.

Matthew Headland (2) and Ben Edmonds (above) got the GB goals.

Head Coach Martin Grubb said: “It was very disappointing to end the week without a medal.

“We had two opportunities to win the games against Lithuania and Romania, but didn’t perform when it mattered.

“At times we were also out battled and out fought by the other teams and that shouldn’t be happening to a Great Britain team.”
