Great Britain U20 forward Connor Glossop has joined Peterborough Phantoms.

The 18-year-old moves to the EPL club from NIHL2 North, where he scored 38 goals in 65 games for Nottingham Lions.

Glossop said: “I decided to join the Phantoms, due to being a young player wanting to learn from a good coach to send me in the right direction.

“To me this is extremely important and after working with Slava (Koulikov) at the GB camps and tournament I know he will be able to teach me a lot about the game and progress me into a better player.

“Hopefully I will be able to bring speed to the Phantoms as well as my enthusiasm and work ethic.”

Koulikov added: “Connor caught the eye of a few EPL clubs after having a strong season in NIHL 2. I’m really glad he decided to join Phantoms.

“He’s a hard-working, committed player with good stats and attitude and with the passion and desire to want to make the step up.

“All these qualities fit well within our structure and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
