Great Britain Women have named their squad for April’s World Championship tournament in Bled.

GB, who have won silver medals in the last two years, will play in the Ledena Dvorana ice rink in the Divison 2A group from 2nd to 8th April 2016.

As well as facing hosts Slovenia in the six-team tournament, GB will come up against Croatia, South Korea, Poland and North Korea.

Great Britain Women Head Coach, Cheryl Smith, said: “I think we’ve picked an exciting squad. There really is a great mix of youth and experience on our roster for Bled.

“We had two warm-up games against Netherland, which gave us the opportunities to try a few ideas. We feel the team selected will give us the right mix of skill, work rate and experience.

“The coaching staff are also excited by the young players in the squad and some who did so well at the recent U18 Women’s World Championship in Austria.”
