Glasgow Clan have announced the signing of Canadian offensive player Colin Campbell.

The 28-year-old, who can play on the wing or through the centre, is six foot tall and hails from Nova Scotia, although he spent last season with French Ligue Magnus side Mulhouse.

He said: “I hope the fans will see good things from me this year. “I like to think I’m a good skater and I’ve been a goalscorer in the past, but if there’s another scorer in there, I can be more of a playmaker.

“I’m an offensive player overall and I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with some great coaches through the years so I’m disciplined and have earned how to play in both zones.

“My goal was always to play in the UK and the Elite League.  I never really got the chance until now so I jumped on it when the opportunity came up.

“I know Chris Culligan and Joey Haddad, who have both played in Cardiff and they’re big names where I come from so I have high expectations of the league and the hockey.

“I’m really excited to be coming over and it’s always been a dream of mine to come to Scotland so I can’t wait to get over and live there for a season at least.”
