Telford Tigers have retained the services of netminder Sam Gospel, as part of a revamped defensive line-up for next season’s EPL campaign.
Gospel will work alongside Polish international Ondrej Raszka, following the summer departure of Thomas Murdy to Cardiff Devils.
Head Coach Tom Watkins said: “Sam is a very talented netminder and keeps on improving every season. He is dedicated, hard-working and always very committed in training.
“That work ethic always shows up in games and we saw that when he took the starting role in last season’s play-offs. He had a good season and kept us in the game for long periods against Milton Keynes.
“Sam is very coachable and he’s a quiet guy, but he stops the puck and battles for every puck. That is the job of every netminder and he never gives up on anything, which is key.”
