Nottingham Panthers have signed netminder Sam Gospel.

The 23-year-old, who spent the last three years in the EPL with Telford Tigers, replaces Dan Green who leaves the club after seven seasons.

Gospel is a product of Nottingham’s junior system and he says he’s delighted to be back at the National Ice Centre.

“It’s a huge step forward for me – it’s a big opportunity and I’m lucky to be able take it,” said Gospel.

“I’ve been around the team before and it’s a good organisation. I’m looking forward to coming back.

“It’s what’s you aim for, to get into the Elite League especially in your home town, so it’s great.

“I’ll be ready if I get the chance – I’ll play and do a good job.”
