Gutwald wants to beat Fife for Purple Army

Clan, British Ice Hockey

Glasgow’s Braehead Clan defenceman Michal Gutwald said he can’t wait to face the Fife Flyers this Saturday at Braehead Arena.

The in form Flyers come to Glasgow with the Clan looking for their first win of the season against their bitter rivals.

Gutwald said today that the whole team are fully focused on beating the Fife Flyers as the club look to retain the Gardiner Conference title.

“Since I have come to Braehead, I have become aware of how important the rivalry is with Fife and what is means to the supporters” confirmed the Czech.

“We haven’t had any success this season against them this season, but that’s in the past now and we most focus on the rest of the season here.

“I have been told the Clan have won the last three Gardiner Conference titles, so as a club we don’t want to give that up – we can start to change that on Saturday.”
