Glasgow’s Braehead Clan assistant coach Richard Hartmann has called on the team not to underestimate the Edinburgh Capitals this Saturday.
The Clan make the short journey across the M8 to Murrayfield Ice Rink in Elite League and Gardiner Conference action.
Hartmann was head coach of the Capitals between 2011 and 2015, before making the move to Braehead Arena as assistant coach for the start of the 2015/16 season.
“Despite Edinburgh being bottom of the league with only one win so far, we can’t for one moment underestimate them” said the Slovakian.
“I was with the Capitals for four season’s so I know that they are very difficult to play on home ice, especially with the bigger ice surface in Edinburgh.
“We saw improvement on home ice last weekend against Sheffield and Belfast, we need to take the positives from that and build from there.
“We only have one game this weekend and a win on Saturday could be somewhat of turning corner for us and get the club back on track.”
