Great Britain Women beat Slovenia 8-2 to record their first victory in the World Championship (Division 2A) tournament in Gangneung.

Katie Henry (2) and Katie Marsden (2) topped the scoring, while Angela Taylor contributed four assists.

Head Coach Cheryl Smith said: “This was a great performance and I am really pleased for the girls.

“We changed the lines around and the girls responded well to that.

“There were so many excellent performances all over the ice and they have much to be proud of.

“Of course, there are things we can do better but the girls deserve this victory.”
