Belfast Giants’ forward Chris Higgins has agreed a further season with the club.

The 30-year-old American is a Boston University graduate – where he won the 2008/09 NCAA national championship – and has also played in the ECHL for Gwinnett, Las Vegas, South Carolina, Utah and Wheeling.

He has also iced in Italy and Sweden.

Higgins has played 134 games in the Elite League for the Giants and Nottingham Panthers, scoring 44 goals with 86 assists.

Giants Player/Coach Derrick Walser said: “Chris Higgins and his line did a lot of damage against other teams last season.

“Chris is a player who will produce offense and make players around him better – so it was an easy decision for me to bring him back this season.”
