Raiders have moved to bring in club legend Juraj Huska for their NIHL Spring Cup campaign, which begins this weekend.

The Slovakian forward is back in Romford after a season with Invicta Dynamos and returns for a third spell after first signing for the club in 2010.

Coach Sean Easton was pleased to have him back as they prepare to take on Telford Tigers this weekend in their opening Spring Cup matches.

“Juraj agreed to join to replace Lukas (Sladkovsky) for the Spring Cup,” he told the Romford Recorder.

“[He’s] aways a goal scoring threat and has put up big points wherever he has played.”

The 39-year-old is a four-time NIHL highest goals scorer and one time highest points scorer and put up 504 points, made up of 272 goals and 232 assists in 231 appearances for Raiders previously.

His 231 appearances see him ranked 19th in all time appearances for Raiders, immediately behind current forward JJ Pitchley.

Huska joins Liam Stewart, Zach Sullivan and Ben Solder as the new faces for the club for the competition.
